Hi! My name is Mark. Glad you stopped by. You may be wondering, so I'll just say it first. I'm 168 cm tall, weigh 88 kg, and was born in 1961. Now that that's out of the way, let me introduce myself.
First, just to let you know, my main reason to be on this sight is to meet women in real life for coffee and friendship, or dating toward a committed relationship. I am not in a hurry to get married. As with any relationship (online-started or introduced by friends, etc.), marriage is not on my mind until I feel I know the woman very well over a lot of time and really think we could be together for the rest of our lives. I am not on here to be an "instant" husband or pursue fantasy relationships in cyberspace. I want to meet people, or a person in real life.
So, basically, I'm a middle-aged guy looking for companionship, or more if things were to develop.
I have been divorced since 2000, (and I never want to go through it again). I am willing to marry again someday, but am not in a hurry to do so.
So, I want to find out about you, as friends, or more (through dating), and let you find out about me--at a pace which is suitable for you and me.
My Ideal Person:
I am not perfect, and I do not expect you to be either. I believe in Christ, we are perfect only through faith in him. We are called to love and forgive one-another just as he loves and forgives us.
For me, each woman is a unique person with many attributes and characteristics that make her unique. It's difficult for me to design a woman I'd like to know. I do know the kind of attitudes and characteristics I cannot cope with. I learned those in my divorce.
I prefer protestant Christian(I'm Presbyterian)women who are relatively serious about their faith (if they think they might want to be more than just friends).
I prefer women whose goal(s) in life are not centered around getting rich and climbing the social ladder. My central goal is to live in Christ and follow his leading. I'm not very interested in material gain, but in relational intimacy. So, my "ideal" person would be at least in that direction.
While I have no specific ideal person in mind, I guess I do have areas in which I can relate best. I would be my best with someone who is open, not shy, willing to talk openly about her feelings and mine, issues of the day, and is not looking for Mr. Perfect Prince Charming.
I am more interested in maturity than external beauty. I like a woman who has varied interests.
If we were to meet, I would want to meet you in a coffee place, or similar, in public, and then begin getting to know one-another. If you feel unsafe meeting me in public, then bring a friend along. I want you to feel safe.
