Mood: annoyed, 1127 Views | So I interviewed a guy who had applied for a position in my team today. I didn't really expect
him to be fully dressed up as most of software engineers dress pretty casually these days when they
go on a job interview but this guy was too much. He showed up in short pants and flip flops! 
I almost WTF'ed him. lol And his attitude was even worse. I ask him a question about a problem we face
in a real situation and he comes back to me with this question. "Do you guys really use it?" 
I write software for a living and I know I don't really have to be fully dressed up when I go on an
interview but I still dress nicely 'cause I know it
never hurts to look nice on a job interview. How do
I know this? Because I interview a lot of people and if someone shows up dressed poorly, I get an impression
that he doesn't take this job opportunity seriously!
If you don't really have a lot of experience with job interviews and you are looking for a job,
please keep in mind how you look actually matters no matter what kind of job you are applying for,
so please dress nicely when you go on a job interview! | |
