2 types of unavailable men... Mar 27, 2008 12:58 am
Mood: contemplative, 2207 Views
Tonight I had dinner with one of my girl friends...Our conversations ranged from family, work, hobbies, and guys and gay guys…

We talked about patterns and type of guys one tends to date, if any…Along the conversation, the word “available” and "unavailable" came up…
There seem to be two types of guys who are not “available”: guys who might be successful with their career with financial stability OR guys who are available physically, meaning, they have time to spend with you but too broke to do anything…I guess what we really want is little bit of both, you know the word, “moderation”…

I was telling her that I didn’t mind dating guys who were broke, car less(yes in los angeles…lol), and/or with dead end jobs when I was in twenties, not even early thirties since I always emphasized about their personality, character, etc…but as I’m approaching my 40s, I do not want to date guys who seem to be “struggling” still…guys who are in 30s plus who are going through “changes in life”…

just a thought...

Locks of Love...and MY hair... Mar 12, 2008 12:06 am
Mood: mischievous, 2522 Views

Last week I finally “chopped off” about 16 inches of my hair so that I can donate to “locks of love"…
“Locks of Love" is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics.”

This is a second time that I’ve done this…
I’m not sure if I can do it again, getting more and more grays and all…
Normally I prefer my hair short to shoulder length…
But with reasons such as an “ex” preferring long hairs(which I think some other girls do too)to the advice of my old fashioned stylist who recommends that I will never find a guy if I cut my hair short(hehe)and that I will look younger with longer hair I've been keeping them long.

The most impressive part is that about 80% of donations come from other child who wants to help other kids.

Ladies, summer’s coming and variations of “bob” length hairstyles are in i.e. Katie Holmes, Posh Beckham, Rihanna and lot more korean actresses.
Why don’t you look into it and get a new hair-do??? It could be the best hair style ever!!!

Check out “locksoflove dot org”…The good and easy thing is that the minimum length is only 10 inches…

Anyway, just wanted to share…

I wonder what I’m doing…
I wonder why I’m thanking you just because you’re answering my phone calls…
I wonder why I’m apologizing to you when you’re answering just to tell me that you’re busy…
I wonder why I get sad thinking about you…
I wonder what is happening, if anything is happening…
I just wonder…

Monday Blues----NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Feb 4, 2008 9:33 pm
Mood: beautiful, 2871 Views

the day started off just perfectly…woke up without using my snooze button…
even my morning routine went smoothly unlike other days of haze and daze...as i walked out of my place, the cool wind embraced me...first thing i noticed was a crisp outlined San Gabriel Mountains and a glimpse of a sun that just has risen...

the dreaded commute was going well too...i’d pass by the residential areas with dated but beautiful and quaint houses, of which you always dream about living one day yourself...since there weren’t many cars i was able to check out some houses along the drive...in the process, i observed a woman sweeping the curb and i wondered when was the last time i saw that(kinda sad)...
luckily, i didn’t hit any traffic on the freeway either, which was surprising because i always think there are more traffic on monday...(don’t ask me why though)

as i entered into another city, my eyes spotted Angeles Crest Mountain, welcoming me as i drove by the empty streets lined with swaying trees, as if they are saying “good morning” to you…

thus my day started off perfectly...

Upgrade??? Too high tech??? Nov 30, 2007 10:47 am
Mood: amused, 3760 Views

I’ve been staying at my friend’s house…
This is my second week and my stay will end soon…

Maybe it’s me or maybe it’s a guy thing…
Everything at his place is so high tech that i have been having problem using any of the simple necessities in his place…
Granted, trying to adjust and to use someone else’s things are never easy especially when my friend is out of country…

Here are some examples…
He has this high-tech sensor device trashcan that suppose to open if you’re around…
The problem is that the freakin trash can opens every time I walk by to get something from the refrigerator but doesn’t want to open it when I’m actually standing in front of the trash can to throw something away, like a banana peel…
So what do I??? I walk around and take the long way…well at least I’m walking 10 more steps instead of 2 steps…hehe
Those steps can add up you know, especially you’re constantly opening the fridge door…haha

I think it took me couple days to finally figure out how to use his another high-tech coffee maker…whatever happened to regular drip or french press???

Oh I don’t even think I should get into tv and his cable system…
I know as a fact that I screwed up his pre-programmed tv shows attempting to turn on the tv and trying to watch something through cable…hopefully he won't kill me with one of his other high tech gadgets...
Actually that was good since I didn’t even bother with the tv till the second week and I really didn’t need tv…

I’m what you call “technically challenged” woman…but all I need is someone to show me HOW to use it…I don’t mind learning it on my own by my mistakes but not at my friend’s expense such as screwing up his pre-programmed shows…

I think I definitely like simpler things in life…
Ahhhhhh those good old daysssssssssssssssssssssss
Simpler the better, not too much choices and not too much confusion…
