I had a fleeting glimpse tonight into what I thought God may have been thinking during the tower of babble incident...but the thought has fled and now I wonder if I will be struck by lightening for thinking I can read God's mind...
Butter Cream has no butter in it and is actually very low in fat. My dog sleeps while I cannot - is she being sensible or disloyal?

cell in the toilet, work keys at home....

I found out this weekend that the complete emersion of a cell phone in water doesn't necessarily kill it...well...not completely kill it, anyway. My cell fell out of my pocket and into the newly cleaned toilet on Sunday - not sure if this is good or bad - I mean, if the cell had to fall in there, it was a good thing I had just gotten through completely cleaning it to prepare the house for the market....I pulled it out within a second (yuck! I know, I know, but what could I do??? ). I dried it as best I could with a hair dryer, and at first it was working but the headset jack was not - headset jack was probably was still wet. The phone also claimed it was "charging". I was afraid the erroneous blinking "charging" visual was going to drain my battery, so I had to disconnect the battery.
Dried the phone in the sun for a few hours. The headset finally worked, but I was still getting the "charging" visual. Tried putting my dad's battery on my phone - got the same effect. The problem is not the battery.
Placed the phone in the cradle to charge (with the blinking battery "charging" icon, I cannot tell what the battery level is). Found out that placing the phone in the charging cradle shuts off the phone and the the phone starts blinking "NO Battery!". Also not true....
Called phone guy - he says dropping a cell in a toilet, the gutter on a rainy day, the bath tub, etc. is not uncommon. He claims he can clean it out and there is a good chance the phone will be back to normal.
I come out of the Verizon store hopeful, and head into work. Oh wait - I left my work keys at home
Now I am stuck in my office ( a coworker let me in) unable to go anywhere further than 25 feet because we have had thefts recently on this floor and I cannot leave my door unlocked

cleaning a garage

Okay, so my house is being put on the market tomorrow, and after several days of grueling work, the interior and the front landscaping looks pretty good.... that leaves the cleaning of the exterior (next weekend, probably 1 hour), the weeding, digging and mulching of the rear landscaped area (probably a day) and the cleaning of the scary garage (help!).
There are cobwebs in every corner, dead bugs hanging from them, and stains from automobile and furniture refinishing chemicals on the floor. How do I get the stains off the floor? Does anyone know of a good solution? I do own a steam shark, but I I think the chemical and grease stains will have to be removed by something(s) more toxic than H2O vapor??????
Has anyone successfully removed such stains from their garage floors?

I disconnected my Urbana home from the Internet, cable TV and telephone services 4 months ago as I was moving back to Chicago. Since then, I have had to go back to my house in Urbana a few days at a time on weekends to get work done there.
I have gone batty each visit. Not being able to chat is pretty bad, but not having access to email is even worse in some sense. I am amazed at the extent to which I have become dependent on having a fast Internet connection.
I am about to head back down there for 3 days today. Please send help if I don't reappear by Monday. I may be rocking in a corner of the house

I just realized that I have spent almost my entire life waiting for the ever slow productions and releases of the Star Wars episodes. I got so used to waiting for year upon years for each installment, I am not sure how I will feel when the last of the 6 movies comes out....

arg! so i've been trying to get too many things done, and now i am unhappy about none of the tasks being in a completed state!
I need to work to pay my bills, I need to study so I an eventually be making more money so I can pay my bills, I need to get my house ready for the market and put it up for sale soon so I can pay my bills.... hmmmmmm.....
Can we just get rid of the concept of money? Better yet, can we just erase the concept of money from my creditors? hehehe
