Being A Grown-Up Apr 26, 2008 5:03 pm 1863 Views Learning more and more every day that life is hard, but life is what you make of it. I would love to just sit around and do nothing (which I have been doing since collecting unemployment). hee hee...but I am actively looking for a part time job so I can press on with school. Happiness and moving on is a continuous effort. I've had my ups and downs. True joys and disappointments. Points of lunacy and satisfaction. Everyone that came into my life came with a lesson. Those I've lost through love and friendship, it made me stronger as I crawled out of my 6-foot hole. I am generally a happy person and positive about most things in life. In the recent light of things happening in my life, it's a wonder that people end things. I know it is hard...I respect those men and women who raise their kids by themselves. It's hard enough trying to find work, but working, raising kids, and going to school...there are MANY that do it. I wish I had their strength but I guess if I was put in that situation, I'd do it too. I love and respect one unni in here that I've grown to know and befriend. She helps me put things into perspective. And help me get some sense knocked into me and out of me... Since the NY trip, I have more respect for her. She has always been there for me to give a lending ear and a shoulder to cry on. And...on the other side, always there to push me and kick my asssss when need be. She is the most positive person I've ever known...I love her spirit and love her strength. I hope that I will become a great mom like her. She is a true woman of character. I wish there were many more like her... Christine UNNI...I thank you and love you for everything you've done for me. I look forward to more vacation trips and growing old together.
