Is he a pedophile or not??

If you're a 26 years old MAN and you claimed that you like a 14 yr old GIRL, does that makes you a pedophile or are you totally normal?
Please, is there anyone who can kindly enlighten me??

Under the circumstances that
1) He have not met her at all.
2) He have not even see her or hear her voice before.
3) He have only known her for 1 day??
4) He was aware that she already have a boyfriend.
5) He knew that she is only 14 year old.

Pls take note, I only used 'he' but not any 'she'.
Reason being, he was the one-sided party.
She didn't mislead him.

But she is too old to be a child, she's a teenager.

Clover1,
Great topic- Well with this story I got a similar story like my friend- I am the one that witness all of this story. I have a friend he was 24 turning 25 he umemploy for awhile now and one day he meet a girl at a petrol station she only 13. When I pick him up at the petrol station he ask me if right or wrong to go for a girl only 13 years of age. So I ask him one question " How much do you like her", He answere "for some reason I like her alots". So I just say "if you know in your heart she the one for you, just go for it", " ask her out if she say no, its meant not to be". So he did ask her out the next day and she say yes? They start dating and they when out for 2 years heading 3 years. At 2 and half years he start having a friend its was a girl! I was invited to meet him and the new girl, and I spent 6 month see what he up to, he start having argument with his girlfriend. He started to feel desirable for the new girl, and his girlfriend was so upset and feel so insecure! Then one day he decided to break up, his girlfriend ring to me to say that she losing her boyfriend, she was so emotional on the phone. Therefore I tell her "don't worry I promise you will get your boyfriend back". Therefore I went to the new girl. I ask her out and she say yes and I bring her to tell my friend, he was so upset at me that he left me in the middle of nowhere? Well at lease I get to know that he can only go back to his girlfriend! For the new girl she was so confuse, she think its was her that me and my friend go against each other! I can only say sorry to her and give her time to break up with me! Anyway the new girl still my friend, but she always feel shy in front of me, I still don't understand why! She always has lots of guyz chasing after her --why would she be shy umm?! Anyway cut the story short, my friend and his girl get back together that day that my friend left me. And they happily marry, she was 19 year and he was 27 or was it 28! And they have one daughter together and a boy is on the way.

Just a more revise its all depend on both people, If she feel secure with him, or is he really know for sure that he love or like, depend on the weight of each heart! I know for a fact my friend now only love his wife, he do alots for her! With what she can handle my friend, I do really say she was meant to be with my friend. He was totally tame by her. Anyway we can't judge people, we can only be there to help and witness and support our friend! Just spent time with them and help them understand what they want! Don't just everything too quickly, just perpare everything for a friend ok!

As a father i feel that responsible parents have a great responsibility to take care of their teenage childeren espacially girl childs until they are matured enough to take care themselves.I agree with most members here that any act of sexual obsession etc towards such immature teenagers ; by matured men ; is banned and severely punishable by law.

Again i reitorate that the resonsibility lies with the parents individually and the society collectively to protect their immature chideren espacially the girl child.

Hello Clover1

Great Blog! Keep on writing.

I can see how a 26 y/o man could be attracted to a 14 y/o girl. We have some pretty sexy teens out there. I think maybe the mass media has something to do with this, as well as Madison Ave. On the other hand, if she were my 14 y/o sister or daughter, yes, I would be concerned. If this situation exsisted between two adults,(people over 18 y/o) that would be one thing, but between a child (under 18 y/o) and an adult, that is something totally different, and should be stopped.

Nod nods.
His level of confidence are way too low and he just lost his job recently.
He is pretty much like a child himself.
He's a simple person. All he asked for is to continue surviving in this world.
At first he told me that he likes the girl's heart.
I have no idea what he was talking about.
Now I figured out that he might fall for her cos' she is pure, simple, naive and innocent.
But stil...

I know where u are coming from.
My sisters married man who are relatively 12,10,6 yrs older than them.
So I'm open to the idea of it.
But in this case, that girl is only 14! It's so morally wrong.

Hi Clover,

I enjoy reading your blog; keep it up!

If I had a 14 year old daughter or sister and a 26 year old man
showed up to meet her....well, let's just say he wouldn't be hanging around very long.

A 12 year difference is one thing if she is 26 and he is 38; but,
it's totally inappropriate when she is 14. A 26 y/o man shouldn't be anywhere near a 14 y/o girl. I think in some US states sexual relations with a 14 y/o amounts to statuatory rape.

just my 2 cents....

but still....

what could have a 26 years old man coomon with a 14 years old girl???

I think he is so insecure with his sexuality that he could be pedophile.

Of course teenagers are very feminin our days, and they may look more as women.

I dont see as taboo, but it shows still a social disfuction.
This person has not easy good relatiosnhip with same age people, maybe he has inferior feelings. So in the likeness to a so younger person, he can feel superior and doninating.

That is usual the base for pedophily.

14 years old girl can be sexually attractiv but surely can not be interesting as love or sexual partner.
