Are you disappointed that the first viable female presidential candidate relied so heavily on her husband?
--Question inspired by Maureen Dowd and her powers of observation...

Is that why she is gaining ground in the poles? ...Because of her husbands statement of gender bias versus racial bias? ...that after she literally cried for the American people in her sad vulnerability after losing ground to Obama in the polls? If it was not for Bill introducing the 'race card', I think her game would have been over. Comeback in New Hampshire? Wowo...

Seems all Hillary COULD do was modify her stump speech, try to sound more empathetic by softening her 'masculine-sounding' voice, answering more question from the audience, and then stepping up her 'game' with what she views as "the fun part" of the campaign....ATTACK THE OPPONENT!

Attack on Obama's 'inexperience':

"It is not enough to hope for change; you have to workfor it. The idea that Mr. Obama can live up to expectations is ...the biggest fairy tale I have ever seen.";

flip-flopping accusations; nonfavoritism of universal health insurance...Opposition to the Iraqi War??

Yeah...I'm disapointed: Bill should have let her win on her own merit...that is, IF she was so viable a candidate in the first place. Female or not.... Apparently, she wasn't.

Billy Boy was always the voice behind the Clinton legacy. Hillary was just the actor...and a good one at that! I don't trust her as far as I can throw her.... GEE, THANKS FOR BAILING OUT OF THE ELECTION, Sir BILLARY...

...as finding out the truth about Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton is like the discovery of Eldorado: we're always travelling, yet NEVER travelling on the right road to reach our destination.

"Only two things infinite, the universe and human stupidity, - I'm not sure about the former."

Hello Noni,
Yup... it was more Bill Clinton who was running for presidency than her wife.
BTW, Hillary CLINTON as VP for Barack OBAMA would be like Marc ANTHONY to Julius CAESAR, a Backstabber !
Beautiful day to you.

Everyone knew she was there only because of her husband. Remember how he cheated but she stayed? Actually it is rumoured he cheated more than 3 times in the past.

She is beginning to sound like a shrewd political animal all along who used Bill as much as he used her.

Good riddens I say.

Anyone who wins the presidency of the USA has to bow to many masters just to get there but I think Obama is by far the best choice for the USA and the world right now.

I have worked with many people who have known Hillary Clinton. These people both male and female alike have expressed a resounding dislike of Hillary. They remarked she is cold, calculating and cynical.

From the many wives of may influential people living in Little Rock I chatted with, almost all that knew her commented that not only was she some combination of the three adjectives above plus a few other unsavory terms, but that she would joke about her husbands MANY affairs.

It appears that 3 is the 3 that the press could actually confirm. She would make snide comments (at private social engagements) to the womenfolk such as "there goes Bill again chatting up another girl for a fling".

She would make the barbs at Obama for having a lacking foreign affairs portfolio but some of the gaffs and errors in judgment I have seen her commit make me cringe.

Somewhere out there on utube is a prophetic video of Hillary meeting with a wives club just prior to the 2nd Gulf War. Her condescending and ignorant attitude towards these women is very telling.

Good question Noni and good reply Arnaud. I didn't consider that Hillary for Veep would be akin to Marc Antony and Julius Caesar. It is a good analogy.

As I wrote in an earlier blog, I think there's no doubt Bill's influence did at least as much harm as good. There's a fairly large segment of the Democratic party that most assuredly doesn't want the Clinton's in the White House again.

come on this is ridiculous.
don t you know it was Hilary that ran the White House
for 8 yrs? Same people that criticized Bill Clinton for
being subservient to Hilary are criticizing Bill now for
having helped his wife's campaign.

I don t know about Hilary's leadership potential of the nation,
but as far as the Clinton household, she IS the leader.
