Why do some people think that being in someone's network means that you are friends?

Of course you could be friends, but it is more likely that you are aquaintances because you will often only know them on the Internet.

Some people interact alot with those people on their friends list.

Other people just have it ias a group of contacts of people that they wanna keep contact with...

I know that KFF and other programmes like Facebook call them friends but I an many other people have "friends" on those websites that are simply classmates, or aquiantances rather than what would be considered friends in the real world.

Rant over.

Ah, you remembered about traveling to Italy.
Well, I ended up not accepting the airline ticket offer... wow, that was >2.5 years ago. I think I should accept such a generous gift in the future...

Some people keep friends lists like it is a popularity contest, they never really intend on maintaining contact.

I used to have over 400 ppl on my first id. I had everyones number and wrote them and chatted with them. Then people began to disappear. Who had work issues, family issues or studies.

I then changed Ids and yet still had over 200 people. I finally went into my network and kept the people I talk to regularly or arent around and miss. Like 77class she never logs on since she got married but if she ever does she will know I miss her!
