In 1972, the Los Angeles Coliseum was the place of a day-long concert. It was the "WattStax Summer Festival". Through amazing music and the headlined Isaak Hayes, it was an Afro-American answer to Woodstock but more importantly the best way to show a different side of Blacks and commemorate what happened , 7 years ago, during the Watts Riots. If you want to watch a great documentary about Black music and culture, just buy the dvd "Wattstax". you will not regret it. Have a beautiful day, Frenchguy Songs of the day: THE BAR-KAYS "Son of shaft" -try to catch the video of it- OTIS REDDING "Try a little of tenderness" |
