Talmud

4/17/2008 11:41 pm
I post already this proverb a long time ago (before cancelling my account 6 months ago) but i really like it.

Be very careful if you make a woman cry,
Because God counts her tears.
The woman came out of man's rib,
Not from his feet to be walked on,
Not from his head to be superior.
But from the side to be equal,
Under the arm to be protecred,
And next to the heart to be loved.

Have a beautiful day,
Frenchguy.

French.. It's very nice! Yep yep, side by side.. to be equal, protected and loved... Thank you for this! I'll try to hold this value in any relationship. I'll also rember to treat all my loved ones the same way.

I like it a lot!

Now now now...

This only sound so beautiful because it is French man's interpretation. If Hebrew said it, it would sound as if women are devil's incarnation.

So this is from Talmud?

"If I could lead you into the promised land, i could lead you back out again."

Hello Je Te,
Yes, this is a translation from the Talmud.
For the information, The Talmud is a hebrew collection of books about Rabbin's discussions (Jewish Laws and Ethics)
It is said that the Talmud has Anti-Christian instructions, Insults against Jesus or the Virgin Mary or fasification of scripture. I'm unable to give a point of view because i never read The Talmud.
So, unnecessary to create "polemic" here -not my intention-
But i have quite difficulties to understand "Je te veux" about the difference between "french interpretation" and "if hebrew..... devil's incarnation"
This proverb is just a translation; means not being embellish or whatsoever...
I "just" like this meaningful proverb.
Beautiful day to you.

French guy.

lol I was just fooling around because so many ladies here thought that the content was so beautiful.

I was just joking that only reason that such content sounded so beautiful isn't because of the content but because a French man have said(or read) it. In other word, by accepting general idea of French language being very romantic, regardless of such content, it will sound very beautiful and romantic because French man said it.

Where if ancient Hebrew had read or said the very same content, it will sound as if he is saying that "women are devil's incarnation."

lol Of course its a joke.
