A recent blog by a member regarding serious mental illnesses and I thought to take courage to pen this down out from the secret most corners of my heart ;- a true and a first hand account of Being a Bipolar ;- It means you love your parents but their son is dead for them. It means you have a wife but she has never accepted you as a husband. It means your true love for her once is taken as a deception. It means that you have a job but u won’t be able to keep it for long. It means you may have self esteem but only to be hurt repeatedly for your inability to meet even your basic needs. It means you can enter into relationships but can’t hold them too long. You may meet urn beloved daughter but may not always be able to afford a doll for her. It means a flower without a scent .It means a life without any charm. It means a deep and a severe pain but without a cry.U have to silently bear the pain but can’t express it. It means your strong and frequent desire to escape life but an inability to do so as u can’t afford a pinch of cyanide. It means a rotten life and that u die several times daily before you finally die and get rid of the hell of a life. It means that u will be hated by one and all and no rational being shall hate the illness and no rational being shall ever sympathize for you. Yes definitely this is what it feels like and what it means to be a bipolar – a first hand account. Can u feel the pain ? |

BT my friend, there is nothing in life that cannot be solved by a nice hookah, some lamb curry and a bit of nan. Haha! I think thats what my spirit has always been. Espacially the hookah factor is quite dependable. But in the recent past what has rescued me the most is my good deeds and my faith in god. For the first time in my life i have dared to speak publicly about it and it has made me feel good though little embarassing. Regards BT

BT69, of the 12 "It means" that you wrote, easily nine of them are valid to just being a normal deep-thinking man, and all 12 are valid to an deep-thinking unemployed man. I wish people would either stop this pseudo-neurotic madness and get on with life, or be the 1% of humanity that kills themselves. Welcome to life buddy! Lance Docs say that there is a very thin line of demarcation between a normal person and a sick one. Frequent loss of jobs is a known symptom of this disorder.Docs know it so well.Almost certain divorce/Social misadjustment is another syptom. In my case docs are often surprised as to why i have not been divorced so far. Seems that noone would like to believe that it can be so worse and thats why they wanna justify it all as a normal phenomenon. But the poor pigeon can't escape the warth of a hunter by simply hiding his head in the sand and thinking that the hunter can't see it. Regards Bt
