recently, i’ve become an aunt, “go-mo”... last weekend, i became a full time "surrogate mother" for my niece...i guess it gave me a glimpse of being a mother...wow! what an experience that was...i knew that it would be challenging but didn’t realize how demanding it would be...it was really amazing how much work it involved even though the tasks were very simple and minimal...i mean all you have to do is: feed, change diapers, and hold until the baby goes to sleep and voila...the thing is that, you have to do that every hour or so, non-stop...after doing it for 48 hours straight i was getting grumpy from lack of sleep...so much for being patient...well wish me luck for next time i become a “surrogate” mom!!! |

Sab, ahhahah I remember my grandma once say she has to look after me when I was a little tiny baby. And I was a very smart baby and very hard to feed, no wonder I am as fat as an elephant now  But still hard to feed me too ahhaha

I have 3 nieces and enjoy watching them at my house. It is tiring but the good thing is that they are eventually going back to their house. I actually cheat because I tell my sister to come over and help me. If they want something, I tell them, "go see aunty" If they were my kids, not sure I can handle 24/7 by myself.

sabe..you have the easy part... there's more to raise a kid.. there are doctor visit, that's a challenge for a adult dragging a kid to get his or her shots.. staying up late when they are miserable with a cold. AH!! yeah...going to there school for a parent teachers conference, thinking there are the brighest kid in class only to find out they are not..UGH  then when they get older in their teens thats when the headache starts..they think they know everything..and we PARENTS are dumb.. but all in all when they graduate from high school and enter into REALITY thanks when a CHILD would sayTHANKS MOM!! for raising me... NOW i can't wait for my son to have his OWN KID...PAY BACK IS A bitch!! Sabe....congrat..for being a AUNTY..Spoil them rotten...!!!

Hey Sabby, I just got a new neice 2 weeks ago, and I look forward to hanging with the little sprite. I love kids, they are cute. Kinda like a cat, or a puppy (just the people version).The best part is spoiling them, getting all that love in return, and then leaving the parents to resolving the fallout, haha. I am glad you enjoyed your experience. It is tedious, but also fun too. I was around alot of kids, and in a big family so I think there is nothing better. The little tasks are a small price to pay for the opportunity to shape tomorrow's world and have a little part of you live on. Plus, kids bring joy, and happy people live longer (they have more reasons to, haha). I hope you enjoy it more next time  .ˇViva los bambinos!, f/f

Did you say, Tango? Oh, suuuuuuure....with my eyes closed! I once taught Al Pacino, and this disciple of mine has surpassed the master! I tell yaaaa...unbelievable.....hehehe.... Naaaaah, Sabine...only in my dreams....lol Well, cheer up! I reckon you and I are in the "same boat", since April 14th is coming up soon, maybe you and I should have "cha jang myon"....lol I have this bicycle "built-for-two", and you are welcome to hop on....umm, more like, I need someone to assist me pedaling because I am too weary and tired of facing the "uphill", or....is it life's "trials and tribulations"?? Maybe once a while taking care of young kids,toddler or baby is an enjoyment,but if you are a mother of them is a nightmare!My two niece stays with me since their born,now one is coming to 2years old and the other is reaching 5years old! I have been through what a mother job would be,since their baby....from changing diapers,feeding,bathing,bringing them to see doctor when they fall sick!Play with them,sing to them,talk to them,teach them,they fight,snatching toys,crying, screaming...blah blah blah....just too many to mention!Must be mentally and physically prepare on how to handle young toddlers! Whenever i'm at home,i don't have anytime of my own,my time is totally occupied by the 2kids,it's a 24/7 job!Only till the night fall,i can really have my own free time! Their parents must thank me for being such a good 'aunty' for so many years! Hahaha.........

WoW!! Congratulations! what a big commitment!!! It's a lot to do and I'm sure you've thought long and hard about the whole process!!! Are you getting paid to be the surrogate mother? keke It's amazing that you're doing all of that for ur brother! Sibling love~~ All the best!!
