this past saturday, i was at a trendy bar/diner in hollywood... most people i've met were in their mid-late twenties there... this is our conversation: guy: What is your MySpace address? me: I don't have one guy: No! You're lying. me: No I'm not lying. Why should I lie about something like that. guy: You must be lying! me: I'm not lying! (getting frustrated as our conversation continues) guy (to another girl): She doesn't have MySpace! girl: Ask her if she has Friendster. guy: Do you have Friendster? me: No! I don't have MySpace nor Friendster. None of my friends have MySpace or Friendster. Do you have MySpace or Friendster??? |

haha what is it with MySpace? They even have MySpace for Claire Bennet & Zach from Heroes.. it's odd.. What's the big Hype about it? I don't have one yet, beside the "myspace" on msn.. is that counted?

I had never even hard of friendster until now  ....I do have a my space account, but I never use it.......its too overloaded with ads, viruses, and its quite frankly just a big popularity contest from what I can see, so I don't bother blogging there anymore.I like the friendfinder blogs, and over the past year of blogging on regular friendfinder, I have gotten to know some really good people  Good post -Clarry

Sabineh, I think it's like how there was a Korean craze about Cyberspace. Frankly, i didn't know what cyberspace was until recently, I'm so not in the trend. They gave me that queer look when I asked them what cyberspace is.. I'm still uncertain what you actually do there, i think it's a bit more "advanced" than Myspace, not sure.

I use myspace to find out about shows friend's bands are playing mostly. I work freelance so most my myspace friends are people from work, an easy way to keep in touch without having to maintain phone numbers, email, etc. It's actually kinda useful to me. How else could I be friends with Margaret Cho and the Pixies?
