Friends: Part I--Disappearing Acts...

Recently one of my closest friend moved to NYC from Los Angeles without apparent reason. She didn’t meet her “soul mate”, she didn’t have any better paying or more prestigious job waiting, and she didn’t have any families out there. She just quit her job one day and moved. I really admire for her courage and bravery. To begin a new life starting from scratch when one already seems to have everything well established is not for everyone, nor even for majority of us.

Oops I digressed. My point was to write about how sad I’m to “lose” such good friend because. Already most of my closest friends are not in Los Angeles thus it makes harder for me to see them and hang out as we once used to regularly. Couple years ago one of my best friend moved away to San Antonio because of her job. I remember actually encouraging her to take a position since it was a good one but I do dearly miss her presence. I’m thankful that I get to see her on regular basis since all her immediate family lives in LA, well not to mention her younger sister is my roommate.

Oops I digressed again somewhat. Yesterday, I’ve just found out my other best friend, probably the closest of them all, is moving to Miami, aka “ land of hurricanes”. I’ve grown up with her since junior high and have known her for more than 25 years. Wow, I feel old. Her news was a total shock for me, more so than others. And my heart is heavy with sadness.
I guess I will just look it as an opportunity for me to travel more.

You know the old Corean adage, "When you have met one true friend whom you can completely trust, then you have succeeded in life..." Your sadness, of course, is completely understandable, but I truly believe - knowing where your heart is - she'll remain your friend forever.
BTW, jamie uses like the worst anglocized corean in the history of conglishdom.lol!

Nice New Life!

its always the old.

To change the place it isnt enough.
To step up on the new place and try to escape from the faults it is only a chanche.

Nobody can really changes him/herself.

The new place is just a station of the old good ugly life.
