Hello Mari, Even if you don't get into the Top universities in Korea, still go onto college and find something that interests you to study. As long as you try your best in what ever you do in life, everyone will be proud of you. Even your father. He just had big dreams for you, like any parents. I did the same thing when I was younger, but my life turned out pretty well. Remember, it's not the end of the world, even if it feels like it now. You have a whole life ahead of you, so learn to deal with adversities. It will make you stronger and wiser.

Mari, I feel sooo bad for you! I can not begin to understand the pressures you face... since I am causacian living always in America. It's so different here. Please remember this, however...Universities are not the destination, but rather a path. Now your path can be what ever you choose!!! Spider

Sucks to be you! I imagine you could have studied more diligently. However, standardized tests are a poor measure of academic acumen anyway. Therefore, my advice to you is never let some idiotic test define who you are. The real test is how we interface with society and overcome interpersonal challenges while becoming masters of ourselves. Anyone equipped with ambition and mental dexterity may succeed in life with hard work and a little luck. And if, the mere fact that you did not excel in the exam means Korea will not allow you to rise to your full capabilities, then perhaps you may consider seeking your destiny abroad. Human beings are resilient creatures who are hard-wired for adaptation. Most of all Mari, do not cry. You possess the gift of youth and your life flows like a golden river unto a future of possibilities. Do not fear what lies ahead. Now is the time to be bold and strong.
