So I went out with my friend and her friend this past weekend and was having good conversations over yummy Thai food. She was very cute although she didn't have a booty I look for in a girl.  Anyways, we talked about lots of different things and she happened to be a good conversationalist which I value a lot and I was thinking...hmmm...maybe I should date this girl... We started talking about benefits of having a relationship from two different perspectives and one thing she mentioned kinda bothered me. She said she enjoys a reduction in expenses when she has a relationship 'cause her guy will pay for a lot of things she'd have otherwise which happens a lot in relationships. I pay for most of expenses when I'm in a relationship...heck, I pay a lot even when I just go out with my friends and I don't mind it at all not because I'm loaded but because I enjoy good company and my parents taught me how to give but man when this girl said that, I was really turned off for whatever reason. I didn't ask for her number nor did I pay for the dinner. We went dutch. |

wow!!! I'm glad u wrote this blog... Cuz some girls here r such chul pahns... i just don't get it, i don't make whole lota money & i barely go by sometimes but i 've seen these so called americanized girls inviting guys out when we hang out just so da guys can pick up da ck... americanized only in their conveniences...

good for you seany. most girls circulate guys so that things would be paid. its sad but most girls go along for the ride, hell...most girls go along for the ride and make their girlfriends pay. i'm still waiting to get paid back for certain outtings. i'm sorry but did i have a brain fart? people shouldn't put comments in when they have been prone to doing it themselves.

I don't think she would have given you her number even if you asked for it lol Anyways, for me, it's a huge turn off when a man even suggests to go dutch when he invited me on a date... it doesn't matter if I make more money than he does... guess I am just old fashioned

Sean, I've seen you pick up the tab many many times, and so know you aren't one of these guys who insist on going dutch all the time. In fact, you are quite to the contrary. That being said, I am so glad that you also have the brains to sense when something is slightly off with this girl. I'm glad you made the decision to pass on that one. Bravo! whoa...some girls just have no class at all. if its a mutual meeting, dutch. if its a date, the guy. but i don't do dinner. that is why i meet most for coffee...so the most he pays is $4.00. then i am not obligated to be grateful. i think that is BS. but then some girls are happy about drinking a $3 soju bottle at a bar that charges $15 for it. the woman needs to respect herself enough to know better and not abuse the guy for the money.

I don’t get this girl, but is always in most cases expected that the man pay for the date Spence, but sometimes, personally, I don’t mind at all paying at all, Like this pass weekend I went out few times with my date, in one occasion I asked him if he will not feel offended if I pay for lunch at that time, he dint let me but I was willing to do it, so to me sometimes have to be 50/50 I a relationship. So people don’t take advantage over someone else pocket… (Good that you didn’t pay for dinner that day lol) I wouldn’t neither lol

i'm still waiting for someone to pay me back from a night of clubbing... don't like it when supposed "unnis" use that americanized/koreanized crap. if it is truly americanized...you split it equally but koreaninzed...the older ones pay for it in full. talk about being selective in every circumstance. i really don't care for money really...long as there are mutual respect and spotting for each other. but then it's constant paying for the person upfront and "promising" to pay later, i'm still waiting...
