I am not a fan of noodles. The noodles I do like are cooked, fried and drowned within a sauce of my choice (lately sticky plum sauce). In China food seems much healthier, so my girlfriend and many like her, ate noodle soup. It's boiled water with a hint of chicken and a lot of long noodles. She loved it. I of course tried it too, but couldn't get the hang of it. First of all the slurping is not something commonly accepted in Holland, so I tried to eat it as polite and silently as I could. Now I know there is reason for slurping 'cause it keeps your clothes a lot cleaner then doing it the way I did. So I've become a slurpee too. But the taste still seem pretty bland to me. I keep missing the sauce. My girlfriend is Chinese and I want to adapt to her lifestyle too, so yesterday I brought some instant noodles to work. You just pour some hot water on the noodles, add powdered flavor and some instant veggies and within two minutes you have the noodles. I am still not crazy about it, but I am getting the hang of it. It was actually not that bad after all. I just hope I get used to noodles before my next meeting in China.

muffles, you are at a korean site, and you are trying to explain to us what instant noodle soups are? lol... you are preaching to the choir brother.
next time you have a chance, visit a Korean grocery store, you will see millions of different kinds of noodle soups.

Hehe I know But it is more to show the difference between countries and me in the middle. I know many people eat noodles. I am just trying to learn to eat it too But not many Korean shops here though. A pity because I am always interested in different cultures. But when I find one I will try the noodles there

Brussel sprouts or 'spruitjes'? I love those.
